FAC,

My pleasure. I understood the reasons for the plethora of links and do appreciate your work. Just giving you a bit of a hard time on an evening when I feel like giving people a hard time for no apparent reason (for other examples, see the President Bush thread where I have tried to pick a late hour fight - <grin>).

I do have need for a resource, which you might already be aware of. Enclosed is a question I posed at another thread; perchance you might have some insight/guidance. I promise if you provide the link, I'll check back with my research findings, assuming I ever have time to make some.

Thanks again,

ham

I have a question re: reliability of the polymers used by KVH. A fairly insightful poster on another thread suggested cause for concern as far as the long term reliability of electro-optic polymers, specifically as reliability is necessary to meet the needs of the telcos. I have been meaning to do some research myself but the job has kept me from doing much digging (I really have to ditch my day job!).

Do you have a link/site/other suggestion as to a resource I might look at regarding reliability of polymers?

alt.2600 and the law schuul deanne

Hola Francisco,

I just read that There hasn't been much talk here lately,
so I decided I could pollute the cyberwais with some blather und bother, brotha.

So, howza bout this Corley curlique?

nytimes.com

Gotta admit, this law school dean, Ms. Sullivan, is a mighty fine mind, but alas, she does seem to side with the losers. I recall the fine and spirited advocacy she engaged in during Al Gore's winning loss. Could she do the same for Corley and all the Linux lust-for-lifers? My guess? Yes. Same deal as with Napster and its star barrister. The legal system simply is not yet ready to embrace the bleeding edge of techological possibility. Too profitless, though not too pointless.

Glad to see the hackers are being segregated from the crackerz these dayz. Easier to determine who needs maximum security. Me? I'm countenancing maximum insecurity. Bring on that brave new world, whirrled to a 4G dervish of devilish delights.

BTW, the DeCSS code ran to a half a K-loc. Seems the studios are in some kinda dark ages when it comes to encryption methodologies. My solution? Have Universal Studios hire Corley and the 2600 crowd to bomb proof DVD. Save everyone a ton of grief. But that would be way too sensible, eh?

Rantz 'r Us, Ray ;)
