Majestic Launches 'SAFE-T-GARD' Marketing Campaign in Nation's Capitol
SAN DIEGO, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Majestic Transportation Products, Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Majestic Companies, Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: MJXC - news) today announced that the Company will be launching a ``national marketing campaign'' and ``public awareness program'' for its innovative and patented SAFE-T-GARD, a product that acts as a ``people deflector'' which is designed to prevent bystanders in a bus loading and unloading zone from being run over by the rear wheels of a bus.
The Campaign is being officially kicked off this Friday, April 27th at a dedication ceremony and press conference being held in Washington D.C. to honor the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority for their recent commitment to outfit their entire fleet of over 1600 city & commuter transit buses with the S-1 GARD, a version of the product designed specifically for the metro bus market. Majestic Transportation Products, Ltd. recently completed the negotiation of an exclusive licensing agreement with Public Safety Transportation, Inc., the developer and patent holder of the S-1 GARD, to market the SAFE-T-GARD, a sister version of the product that has been jointly developed by both Companies, and targeted specifically for the school bus marketplace. In addition to the attendees expected to be on hand for the S-1 GARD activities, over 200 school transportation officials from within the DC, Virginia and Maryland area have received personal invitations to attend the commencement ceremonies. Representatives of Majestic Transportation will be on hand to unveil and discuss the new SAFE-T-GARD, which is now available for immediate school bus installation. The S-1 GARD is well into the early adoption phase of its product cycle, and has either been installed, or is scheduled to be installed on metro buses in the Chicago, Los Angeles, St. Louis, San Diego and Washington, DC greater metropolitan areas.

The SAFE-T-GARD (as well as the S-1 GARD) is a patented safety device comprised of a polyurethane wedge shaped assembly attached to a steel mounting plate that is fastened to the undercarriage of a bus just forward of the curbside rear wheels. The products primary purpose is to ``eject'' or ``push out from under the bus'' a child or adult that has fallen into the path of the approaching rear wheels of an oncoming bus.
