Good NFI post from Yahoo:

upbeat conference call

did you catch the conference call? the replay can be heard at 1-800-759-4704.

very upbeat. steady earnings growth (albeit 2nd quarter may be off $.02 to $.05 from the 1st due to timing of securitization impacts that will benefit 3rd quarter). full year eps north of $1.10 probably. (although Scott wouldn't be pinned to making that guideance)

reading the tea leaves, i suspect there is going to be a resumption of analyst coverage and a "buy" recommendation coming soon. it sure sounds like there is analyst interest in novastar.

i agree with previous posts. i'd put my money on a $10.00 stock price as a result of the news. $15.00 is a stretch. in any event, $7.20 is still way too cheap for this stock; we're looking a stable and growing earnings stream that will produce steady income above $1.00/share with good visability.

this business ain't sexy, but it's in the right sector and it's predictable now that there is deep mortgage insurance.

there are plenty of things that aren't yet priced into this stock. growth (from branch units) is the the big news item that isn't refected. don't be surprised if novastar hits $9.00 - $10.00 sooner than anyone expects.

this company is still way undervalued.
