Yestarday on CC (see slide presentations) ALA showed big acceleration in sales of 50Gbit/s IP+ATM+MPLS switch-router 7670 and software fior 450 Gbit/s coming shortly . What ALA would do with Ascend loosing products? What ALA would do with Lucent DSL, inferior products? No adventage from Lucent submarine products.... etc.etc... I have heard this merger rumors before. Most likely Lucent will not get as much $ as they want from fiber unit and financial problem will contimue. Someone whant out of the stack and is spreading rumors. ZO
