I might have stated this better. Otellini said something like the relative performance of SDRAM v. Rambus became much more significant over 2 GHz. Maybe that makes more sense.

Also, in talking about DDR, he said that Intel would be prepared to work with any memory solution, and that the cost would be the determining factor. I think he was implying that he thought Rambus would be less expensive than DDR.
