hi tc

"I don't believe SFCer (used with default options) will detect a missing file, just corrupted ones"

very good point, and a correct one, i think. i have been trying to see if i could determine otherwise, but i'm growing weary of looking through printed info on the sfc topic. there's a part of my thinking that says a missing system file should/could be construed as a corrupted system, but i suspect that we could only really make that determination by testing.

and good find on the snow white virus info on the symantec site. it eluded me.

as always, your good help on this thread is appreciated by everyone.

:)
