Jon: How many people who would actually let go of the G* bonds is directly related to the number of people who want to take their G* bonds! (you know more buyers than sellers :-) From the quick look at the L3 report, "secure communications" seem to be right up the G's alley. I'm sure they could leverage the capabilities/assets of G and Loral. Who knows L4? I sure would have rather been in L3 stock this year rather than L. Perhaps this shows the value of the niche market vs the grand market strategy. What a novel concept for BLS, go out a beat the bushes for many small deals, rather than rely on one big market.
