She asked me about my brother. Also, my son is not learning disabled, you are misinformed. I will not go into it in detail, but he has not been in special education in any way since the sixth grade, and he had progressed so much by then that he was only assigned someone to "look over his shoulder" in regular classes. Indeed, she could not figure out how he had been assigned to any sort of special education in the first place. It was a great example of the experts being mistaken, and if I had not ensured that he learn the curriculum as he went along, he would not be successfully completing a college bound curriculum in high school.

Win, I brought up Neo's brother. I did so with some qualms because I didn't want to get too personal. I certainly didn't do for him to be ridiculed.
