Rubbing it in are we?

<gg>

No kidding. You were so dead on with that call. I remember you liked EXDS in single digits, and I thought I would too. Now I'm not so sure...<vbg>

Knighty Tin,

Were you following the market closely in 72-73? I was just wondering how the psychology of the market then compares with the psychology of the market now. Were the Wall Street houses all chorusing for a bottom? or were things quieter in those pre-bubblevision days?

While you were scanning the archives, I was browsing through Ebay, and I stumbled on a genuine crystal ball! Naturally, my first instinct was to ask, "What MB will be like after 6 months at a brokerage house?" The crystal ball came up with this note that you will write sometime in the future:

To all:

1. Before anybody asks, yes, I am still buying Intel hand over fist. Folks, this is a MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION! 'Nuff said.

2. My 10/90 portfolios for clients are doing great. Selling naked options is bringing in a steady 5-6% income, nearly as good as corporate bonds. The odds of a major move to wipe me out are slim enough that I like this gamble.

3. I've talked one final time to the doctors at the institute, but they insist that BGR will undergo the lobotomy next Tuesday. Where am I going to come up with new investment ideas now?

4. You will be glad to know that my investment in the XFL is not a total loss. I have hired a couple of the cheerleaders as my personal FULL-SERVICE secretaries. ;-)

4. This weekend, I flew first class to Milan to have Ermenegildo Zegna hand-tailor a suit for me. This kind of stuff doesn't come cheap, but you get what you pay for.
