Claude,

When I had that conversation with Van Doorn a few months ago he felt that Mt.Kare's economics (as it stands)would be quite robust at 300. The appeal is it's ability to still be a mother elephant low cost deposit with more work. It really needs new ownership or a change of approach from PDG. I found this news item this morning of interest.

Canada's Placer Dome sees numerous acquisition opportunities
New York, April 26 (BridgeNews) - Canada's Placer Dome Inc. said Thursday
it plans to place a greater focus on taking advantage of what it sees as a
growing number of acquisition opportunities in the mining industry, president and CEO Jay Taylor said. The company will be pursuing anything from exploration
and development plays to assets that are already in production, Taylor added.

Claude:

Are you still following MNP? It's pretty active today -- over 150,000 shares in the first hour. Any news? I'm still following it because IMHO it's one of the few longer-term possibilities for an "elephant deposit", despite the difficulties -- cash, country risk, etc. And the market cap is still incredibly low.

Best regards,
Howy
