Uh huh. I'm sure all the Republican appointees have a very "strict constructionist" view on unreasonable search and seizure in the war on some drugs, too. Just like all the federal judiciary before the Warren Court took the post civil war amendments very, very seriously. Then, of course, there's the issue of "original intent" versus the "Christian Nation" crowd on the separation clause, eh, Christopher? The "clear purpose" of the Constitution seemed fairly clear to Madison and Jefferson, also somewhat at variance with the "Christain Nation" line. Maybe you could respond to Message 15715615 , if you're so big on clear purpose in that context.

<<prohibit you from growing tomatoes in your own garden>>
Fascinating. Has anyone ever been busted for this? Do you have a link to the decision? I better go yank out the tomato plants in my Texas garden. Police helicopters regularly fly overhead, and there's no telling what they might be after. Between Lago Vista and folks getting sued for slandering hamburgers, I'm ready to emigrate.
