No, we were driven out by people on our own streets. We couldn't win that war because we didn't want to bad enough. But we did not lose the war. We just quit.

I expect the right weapons would have been similar to the one you mention. Just more of them in the hands of people who were willing and able to use them accurately and authorized to do so. A buddy in the Air Force said when Charlie attacked they had to go to the other end of the airstrip to get weapons because they were not authorized to keep them at their side.

If you were guessing nuclear weapons, No way Jose'. That is not an effect weapon in Vietnam.
