Hi Mark,
You're much better at finding past posts than I, but there is a registry hack that disables SFC in Win2K. I usually track it down and set it since I'm familar with "DLL Hell"; but not sure yet how to handle newer DLL's not getting on the system. Seems like there should be more guidance on "official" methadology here from Mr. Softy.
