fiber area is hot...

DIGL got a good mention in an artical on the home page of SI. They apparently make equipment? or software? for maintaining and monitoring a fiber optic network. Here is an excerpt from the SI article:

Digital Lightwave (DIGL) has already soared more than 87 percent since we recommended it on
April 11.

The company just reported the following earnings: First-quarter revenues were $34.4 million, up
85 percent from the $18.6 million reported for the first quarter of fiscal 2000. Net income was
$13 million, or $0.40 per share (diluted), an increase of more than 200 percent compared with
$4.3 million, or $0.14 per share (diluted), for the year-earlier quarter.

From Yahoo's business profile:
The Company offers customers a comprehensive suite of
high-speed optical network test solutions addressing both United States and international
standards, including SONET/SDH, T-Carrier, PDH, ATM and DWDM. The Company's
products provide diagnostics for the entire spectrum of optical-based network transmission
speeds, including optical rates of OC-192/STM-64 (10 gigabits/second).

Sounds like the whole "fiber" business is going to be the next hot thing imho. I think a rising tide will lift all boats, including ocpi if for no other reason. I think the downgrade is an excuse for the big houses to start buying up the stock. May 3rd is the next day to watch. See how their presentation to the big houses goes. Hopefully we have put in the left shoulder of a "head & shoulders" on the graph.
