TWY: What is interesting is that this Barton product is likely to be on the market at the same time as AMD's bulk .13um counterpart.

From AMD's most recent roadmap, Barton is placed solidly in 2H02, while Tbred is solidly in 1H02 - i.e. a difference of likely around 1 quarter.

There could have been an early agreement. I heard about IBM/AMD SOI cooperation as early as October, 1999.

The latest agreement could have been a change in scale of cooperation.
