But, as far as I know, there are no current or former AMD employees or people with professional associations with AMD who post there.

That's it, as far as you know. Maybe they're sneakier. Also, a lot of the "we've got this coming" is probably in response to a lot of the AMD FUD. AMDers seem to post more than any other type these days. It's easy to drift into "beat them back" mode and not have time for much else. Anyhow, is it beginning to look like Athlon was a fluke, what with all the AMD stumbles both before and since? Sure do begin to look like it to me.

Yes...there is an incredible amount of FUD generated on BOTH threads. But, as far as I know, there are no current or former AMD employees or people with professional associations with AMD who post there. That is not the case on this thread. Numerous Intel employees (past and present) including at least one in a very "in the know" position make posts which often can be construed as hinting insider information. I really don't know how they get away with this or why Intel allows it. Perhaps, I don't quite understand SEC rules. Can anyone enlighten me?

TWY, as far as I can tell, there are 3 or 4 people who post here that claim to be Intel employees. I acknowledge a professional relationship with Intel also but I have never said who I work for. I don't remember ever seeing inside information posted here by this group of people. Do you? If others who have not claimed a professional relationship make statements about non public information, what makes you think Intel has any control whatsoever, much less "allows it"? No secrets are safe anywhere. Leaks happen and people talk. Just what do you expect? Why is this any different from the gossip on the AMD thread(s)?

TWY - Re:"Can anyone enlighten me?"

Probably not. You are far too dense.
