The lack of recession this year was always in the Turnips scenario, and the recession next year is one of the causes for a peak expected next spring or so. As for the very short term, I still see a sharp retreat followed then by a rally (the inverted W scenario), but there are few cracks developing in that scenario's timing. If we go straight up to the next apex in the inverted W (with a top still in the 2250 to 2388 area, not the 2500 area being suggested by many "Gurus"), the decline after that will be of similar proportions to the February massacre.
