Muzzle Mouth - Re: " Microsoft delays Windows XP launch"

Those in the know believe that Microsoft wants to "align" the XP launch to the SludgehUmper release - some time late in 2002 - or thereafter !

M,

re: "Microsoft delays Windows XP launch"

If true, it hurts. Both Intel and AMD.

But Microsoft officials hold that the XP software still will be delivered on schedule.

"Our target delivery date hasn't changed for the last year," said Dan Leach, Microsoft spokesman. "We're still on track to deliver Windows XP in the second half of the year."

I remember seeing a presentation late last year on XP delivery for 2H01. I thought it was around September - October which would still work for a Christmas buying surge. This sounds like another short's attempt to bring a stock down, like the Andy Bryant rumor the other day. Speaking of which, I listened to all of his presentation except for his opening minute of two. Sounds like he didn't say anything about resigning, or it would have been all over the web and CNBC. John Fowler, no such words? Rumor mongers are low lifes.
