Talk radio is dominated by conservatives because it's a meaner, nastier agenda. The liberal agenda is a nicer, more compassionate forum and it doesn't fit as something that will hold the attention of a listener.

Have you ever listened to a show that was nice and thoughtful? It would put you to sleep as entertainment. You would be more likely to listen to a conservative show cause it is nastier. Conservatives hold their audience to attention because of the controversy and argumentive nature of the mean spirited, greedy tone. Simple fact of the entertainment business. Too bad there are some of you guys that take it seriously! LOL

M., I think you are exaggerating, at least you should have added WSJ to the mainstream press, I do not know if SF Chronicle is mainstream but it often represent rather balance view.
I noticed that there was significant shift to the right in TV programming recently
