Re: in process of getting Covad, which doesn't seem to be in any better shape.

I've been picking up some COVD - at about a buck, you're basically buying an option (with maybe 6 months of time value, maybe a lot less) pretty cheap. COVD is burning through their cash, but may be the last man standing in their sector. They've been cutting costs, and are signing on new users at much higher rates than previously (since most of their competition is now gone).

But they haven't reported for 2 quarters and have been delisted. If they don't go bankrupt, the stock will probably go to around $5. So there's probably a good chance for the stock to be worth $0 3-6 months from now and a pretty good chance for the stock to be worth $5 3-6 months from now.

If the probabilities are anywhere near to being even, then that $1 price is a very good opportunity. But only for a small investment, since the risks are very, very, high.

Regards,

Dan
