I don't see this as the start of a launch to new highs. I view it as an impulsive move inside of an upward correction. Of course, it has given us clues to the shape of the overall corrective upward wave we are in. I think it has excluded the flat that I wanted this to be. Zig-zag and contracting triangles should still be valid corrective patterns with an impulsive first leg, although I need to check the rulebook.
