i've noticed a lot more variable winds for one thing, and rain falling at an angle out of the north more often than it used to.

once someone mentioned that if the winds were out of the southwest there would be rain, and if the winds were northerly, it would generally be clear (except in the case of a couple of nasty storm fronts which came down from alaska over the years).

i used that 'wind direction' indicator to great accuracy for years after that, but this year that pattern doesn't hold up.

also, on 'clear' days it doesn't really appear pristine as it used to. this could be due to large amounts of particulants wafting in across the pacific from china.

those are just a couple of examples of what i'm seeing.
