Dear patricia, I have three children, Two are adults and my little guy just turned 18. Youth has exuberance and getup and go and not the wisdom of a 50 year old. Bad judgement and making bad decision are a fact of life. Are you really such and anal perfectionist that you see some big deal here. Why is any crime or dishonest deed, cheating or whatever committed? One does not expect to get caught. Has she not paid far more dearly for the mistake she made more than 99.99999% of other 19 year olds found with a drink in their hand. Has she learned her lesson? As a parent I can only hope for the best for my 18 year old and have very little ability to control his actions. What if anything can a parent really do to a 19 year old who is allowed with love to start an independent journey into life. Lock her up. For having a drink. Are you for real???
