What I mean is if you are in public office you don't need to be a brain surgeon to figure out that you and your family will be living in a glass house. The lack of privacy comes with the territory.

The press loves these stories and will jump on them everytime. Look at Strawberry( the baseball player) and Downey Jr. They make their fame in the public eye like politicians and they will be watched by the press. Drug abuse of any kind makes a great story that will sell papers. No one is exempt from the press if you live in the public eye. They are in business to write articles that will interest people into buying their paper or magazine. That's how they make their money.
