Cy, I would argue that the term gay conservative Republicans is an oxymoron.

A conservative would not come out publicly as being openly gay is not being traditional or restrained in style. There are gays who are Republicans. They may believe 99% the way conservatives do. But they in a very personal and traditional value system are not conservative.

But this is the semantics of words and meaning.
