I agree with that completely. There is a book I believe called "In Praise of Folly" by Erasmus and he talks about the uniforms of the judges and barristers of his day. It was done to command attention of the common man. Of course if you were a Catholic lying in the street and said to someone find me a priest you might be disappointed if he was wearing a polo shirt and wranglers and could not be identified.

Carriage means a lot. I know some people that look better in rags than others in Armani. One particular little fraud I'm thinking of always wears Armani and gold chains and he looks like a pimp. I went to a funeral of a cousin of a friend in the States and I frantically put together an uncomfortable suit only to find every body else wearing jeans boots and hats. You have to be yourself and real and to achieve that you have to be comfortable.
