-OT-looking to buy late this year or early '02 with XP and a P4 1.7Ghz

Brian, waiting to do the same thing. I was looking through Dell's website for current pricing these past weeks and was amazed at the pricing on refurbished (or returned) systems. They have over 50 pages of P4's available everyday and in the past two weeks they have offered discounts of $100, $400, $500 and now $550 off on these systems (Dimension 8100). While this is great for the consumer, I wonder what it is doing to Dell's bottom line.
