I fish several different places so no toon for me. $2,000 per year to dock one anyway, without electricity.

I did 75 in the Stratos once, just to see. The dealer guaranteed 85 and probably 90 with a jack plate and a 3 blade prop. No thanks. She smoothes out at 40 and does real nice at 45-50 depending on the water. I like the 225 with the 4 blade because I don't get the ass down nose up stuff. It pops on plane.

I use the jon with the 10 horse for netting bait and lakes with a 10 horse limit. I gave away the 20 that came with it as it will plane with 2 guys with the 10. It's a 16 footer.

I just may have to do some crappie dunking next week. Then again it might be time to start drifting for cats and hybrid stripers.

So many fish, so little time.

How about a tip? You want to put on a braid or fusion line that takes 1/2 the spool. Fill the backing with plumbers tape. Keeps the line from slipping. You also can add a flororcarbon leader with two uni knots. Incorporate both lines in the knot on both sides.
