Did you notice the markets started down before Bush even had the nomination?

Bush greatly aggravated the problem with his trash talk about the economy. How would you expect a 15 point drop in consumer confidence during Bush's first three weeks in office, to be reflected in the market? There was 40% drop between Bush's coronation and the end of his trash talk three weeks ago.
