Given stocks and bonds, bonds represent the more important investment both nationally and globally.

How do you justify that statement? Neither market is more important nationally than the other. Both are critical and each has been played against the other by the FED over the years. A normal yield curve throughout history has been the only environment in which the capital markets can operate well. Forsake the equity market and the bond market is by definition in upheaval.

No question the FED is walking a tightrope while serving two masters but to suggest that one is more important than the other is off base.
