Gottfried, In general, the chart you referenced seems to be pretty much the "norm" for the semi-equips. As the earnings for the different companies were falling off in 1998, their stock prices were starting to increase. As the 12 month rolling earnings bottomed in 1999, the stock prices continued upward - then earnings continued to climb in 2000 while the stock prices started to recede.

Now we are back to "1998" again. EPS estimates are falling, but stock prices for most semi-equips have been increasing since 1 Dec 2000. One question I have is - are semi-equip stock prices going to fall back somewhat before continuing upward, or are we on our way to PE's in the 100 and upward range (just like in 1998/99) while the stock prices continue to increase?
