Probably a combination of 1/2/ and 3. a. I have not seen the 5 year business plan. so if it's presented somewhere I would love to read it. b. I did read Dr. Sands interview in the Wall Street Transcript of 12/18/00 in which he says things like: "we do not intend to be profitable in the near term because our goals in the next year,two years,three years, are to invest in the future. That is the mandate given by our investors at the IPO." Later on he says "Lexicon in the next two to three years will be recognized as a leader in biopharmaceutical discovery for the post genome era". I am not sure what that means although I doubt it means that they will have a super-duper drug that has been approved by the FDA in 2-3 years. What do you think he means?
