All this nitpicking over a few misplaced atoms trying to escape as energy is very interesting, but come Monday the real exam starts. We all know what black holes are because we all got a couple in our portfolios, (that when you start a position at 75 and keep buying in every five points until you run out of money) We all knew that before Hawkings got famous for publishing this obvious phenomenon.

But come Monday Morning we have to make some judgement calls on the long or on the short side. For those of us that are short term traders or who short term trade a small part of our portfolio the week-end are a time to re-group your thoughts about the new week.

Here is what I suggest: Any poster or lurker post what he or she thinks are the best four or five positions for Monday and the month of May. No justification is needed, no technical explanations of some obscure mathematical formula found in the bowels of some economic book written by Thorsteen Veblen (University of Chicago..economist ) in 1930.

Here is what I would be buying come Monday.

1) CSCO.... 2) ASYT, ... 3) CPQ.... 4)AMAT....5) FLEX..

Since its not a rational or logical market in the short term is there any reason to apply long term analysis to short term trends?.

ASYT and CPQ have a minor negative going against them. The are not very good option writes. I would wait until ASYT reports earnings and if it gets a pop on the release of the earnings write the 20's for May. CPQ would have to get to 19 1/2 for the 20's to be worth something.

If you buy this stuff on Monday cover yourself on the first strong up day be it Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Good Luck, Jerome
