To study history means submitting to chaos and nevertheless retaining faith in order and meaning. It is a very serious task, young man, and possibly a tragic one.

I think I read most of Hesse. It is tragically funny how my dead friends had also. I remember well how we pissed into the hurricane. But I survived all that sixty's stuff--and I have learned to share my space with those whom would never walk into the snow, or near the edge of the cliff.

The sun will always rise to bring honesty to our dreams--and we will be older--and we will be closer to the edge of the abyss--in spite of our fears. I believe that Mr. Prufrock has spoken of this...
