Kal Kan - re: "Otellini said McKinely uses 240 million transistors"

Cherry Sanders made a big deal at the AMD suckerholders meeting that the Hamster would only be 105 sq. mm. in size.

He DID NOT bother to tell the suckers that it had just slipped another 6 months - into the second half of NEXT YEAR !

Reporters - a day later - had to dig that out of Mr. Dud !!

So - just how cool will a small and VERY LATE Hamster be - when Intel delivers its THIRD generation IA64 chip BEFORE the Hamster ever sees the light of day?

Re: ""We are big, but we are slow" seems to be the slogan lately."

AMD's slogan is "We are small - and so late as to be insignificant !!"

Paul

Meanwhile Intel has lost the ability to design any small die device

Sorry but you're wrong. Have you compared a CuMine die to an Athlon die lately?
