The best option for AMD would be IMO to include a heat spreader like Intel does with its P4 CPUs. It would allow better cooling and you couldn't crack the core any more. It would, of course, also add extra costs but with so many Thunderbirds dying because of improper heatsink use, AMD should do it for better reputation alone.
