Personally I'd wait to buy Roche until they settle their litigation with IGEN. I think they are at real risk of losing rights to a substantial fraction of their diagnostic portfolio and/or of losing a multi-hundred million dollar verdict. If their egregious behavior ever gets in front of an American jury, punitive damages are distinctly possible and could be even higher.

Tight family control makes a hostile takeover of Roche impossible under the present structure.

What's their market cap now? How much is accounted for by their DNA holding?
