OT I live near a long stretch of rural interstate highway, and, yes, cameras and sensors are in the "long-range" plan, according to the district highway department office 2 1/2 miles from my home.
Metro areas first, then rural, that's my understanding.
And it will all be connected to the 'Net. You'll be able to get up to the minute (well, almost) road info from the phone in your car.
Not next week, but eventually.
Orwell was correct. Only his timing was off a bit.
