Yes I agree, Si Valley residential RE is hurting. My neighbor's house has been on the market now for 3 weeks, no interest. Apparently the realtors have run out of wooden signs, there are so many people selling.

But the coming commercial RE bust is going to be the really spectacular one. I have never seen so much commercial construction activity as the past year here. Seems like every empty lot in Santa Clara county is being built on all at once.

Joan, thanks...confirms recent data on a sharp rise in commercial property vacancies and a concurrent collapse in rentals for same in the area.
