"The internal combustion engine's days are numbered." - I seriously doubt this. I think that the best that can be hoped for is that alternative energy starts providing a significant percentage of these needs . significant would be 10%. jmho. larry

I hear the new 42 volt electrical systems will require the use of new non-conducting tools for repair and maintenance, and I am wondering at this point about the possible increased risk of fire in crashes because of the higher voltage creating a stronger spark when things go wrong?
