It appeared to me that you were defending her withholding birth control from a starving overpopulated nation on the grounds that she had taken solemn church vows. I consider that that in no way absolves her of personal responsibility for her actions or lack of it. She may not be able to pick the content of the vows she takes. She does get to choose which, if any, she takes and at each point in time she has the option of renouncing those vows and that means she must assume personal responsibility for what results from those vows.

In fact, she has considerably more choice and therefore more responsibility than one of Hitler's soldiers. They would be shot for refusing orders; she would not.
