Economy and taxes: GOP says "this is your money so here take some back" but they won't admit and nevr say "this is your debt, pay it
off first". Running a huge credit card bill indefinitely is hardly fiscally conservative. Would it be in your household? Clinton did a great
job paying off on it.

You are making some kind of analogy but it doesn't work. Where are households allowed to assess taxes to pay off their debt like the government? They don't, they just spend less but remarkably government doesn't. Get the disconnect.

Just so you know, AS, i got your point and find it valid - the labels really aren't all that useful unless you can get passable puns out of them ... their connotations have changed so much - a hundred years ago 'liberal' meant a proponent of free enterprise, of advancement based on merit instead of place of birth in the feudal hierarchy ... Bagehot of The Economist called himself a liberal ... that's how much it's changed.

And the story of the real beaches on which Zanuck based his Hollywood production - lots and lots of chicanos there, above their proportion of US population at the time ... somewhere on the net i've seen an hispano tell the story of his father's squad on D-day, and the treatment the survivors got on return after the war ... can't find it now ... but here's some university board with a couple of the many stories, for example a guy awarded the medal of honour who then gets refused a cup of coffee - ukans.edu

Have to believe that there are no liberals, just labels.
