mr mark, I tried both mlang.dll files and some subject lines still do not show in the header listing of e-mails.

Here's how I did it [both times]
1.saved file from your e-mail to desktop
2.rebooted into DOS
3.renamed existing mlang.dll to mlang6.dll
4.rebooted into win98
5.dragged mlang.dll from desktop to C:\windows\system
6.rebooted into windows
7.opened outlook express

The body of the affected e-mails shows fine and also the sender. Just no subject line in listing.

I'll e-mail msft for advice.

Gottfried
