Hi Collin,

Your plate sounds pretty full. A dot bomb? For biotech, or ??? Good luck paying off that credit card fast - remember that debt is a four letter word!!

It's been quite a while since I looked a Joe DiNapoli's stuff. I hope I still have his book. Best I can recall the shifted MAs were to avoid being whipsawed in a trade - which in a strongly trending trade can be a good thing, but not in the sort of markets we've been having. In eSignal I've been using a 5 period SMA crossing an 8 period (or 13 sometimes) VolumeweightedMA on a 1 or 3 or 5 min chart (depending on the stock and its trading nature). Also a 13 (or 15) Stoch for oversold/overbought clues along with ADX, +d1 and -d1.

eSig charting has come a long way, but I'd really like to see something like the Qcharts or RavenQuote design flexibility. I tried Ensign but never mastered the programing language and the scrolling chart is not my preference. Hence my interest in MS Pro if it works smoothly and RQ doesn't come thru soon.

Well, time for bed. Good to catch up some and hope to do more soon.

Peace and Justice --- Patrick
