kap,

re: "But I don't expect the longs here to debate you on substance."

Substance? Dan's posts are the ultimate in wild biased generalizations and FUD. Add misinformation to the list.

Kap,

Power Point is a universal circuit design and verification tool

I have heard that Synopsys is about to release a new tool which can synthesise Microsoft Word specs into a place and route database.

Or so their reps have been telling me for the last 6 years. ;^)

Kap,<<<<Intel has grown incredibly fat and lazy over the past 10 years>

It is a culture were glorious weekly status reports rein supreme, were counting days to the next sabbatical is an art form and were Power Point is a universal circuit design and verification tool.>>>

You have been there and that is something that I respect. Some of the things you say about Intel makes sense. I don't disagree.

But, what you say about AMD and what a great company they are - does not make any sense. They have a 30 year history and what they are doing now is not significantly different than what they have always done.

I am not short AMD and I have no animosity towards them. If you can show me how I could make money with them - I would not be adverse to it.

But, what you, Dan, and Scumbria have done is reinforce the impression that AMD is about fooling investors and more importantly somehow enable their advocates to fool themselves.

As a result I probably have a tough time seeing AMD clearly and objectively.

As for Intel, it's what Woody Allen says about succeeding in life - what you have to do is show up. From what I can see, Intel does that pretty well - showing up.
