DMA,

What on earth are you blabbering about?

The amount of water vapor in the atmosphere is fixed. Water evaporates. Water condenses. The oceans form a buffer which keeps the equilibrium in perfect balance on a day to day basis.

CO2 buffering is much slower, because of the much lower boiling point of CO2. Earth temperatures are never cold enough to condense CO2, so we rely on the much slower process of CO2 absorption in the ocean, and precipitation into limestone.

This system has been severely overloaded during the past hundred years by the release of massive quantities of CO2 trapped in fossil fuels, stored over the last 600 million years.
