brushwud, RE: Bottom line: INTC's Q2 EPS will be negative and they will pay zero income tax.

Note that the earnings that are reported, both the pro forma version and the GAAP version, aren't necessarily related to how much taxes Intel pays. Investors are never shown the version that shows Intel's books for tax purposes.

Intel did NOT reprice employee stock options. They did issue a very small amount of additional options. Your post did not warrant a reply, except for this glaring error. Go check your facts.

This isn't quite accurate. Existing Intel employee stock options were not repriced. Rather, new options were granted that aren't excercisable until next year. Will this affect near-term (i.e. Q2) financials? Why would there be a charge this year?
