So far the market is passing the test but the day is not over yet.

However, if it does in fact pass this test by the end of the day, the market probably has significant upside in the near term. Index buyers generally come into the market in the last half hour is what I recall..lets see how that factors in.

SG Cowen estimates cuts probably hurt Dell relatively, especially when we get an onslaught of selling the Nasdaq.

In addition, many probably have been big gains in Dell this year and want to take some profits.

I checked the Dell website; no comment on any public presentation.

I am trying to figure out the odds of an earnings miss and what the stock does upon that news. IMHO, an earnings miss is probably not factored into the stock but a revision downward for the next quarter probably is.

As we near earnings, things should get a lot better.

Just noted Barton Bigg's negative comments may have played into the weakness. That just means it has to reverse the losses made in the last little while.
As if someone was expecting a bullish Barton.<g>
