ummmm, I have the appropriate amount of respect and....fear of our thread attorney. Though I am disappointed that she let OMD and I get so out of hand that we are having to pump all of our legitimately gained profits into her legal efforts....hey...wait a second here.....<light clicks on>

And now...excerpts from an exclusive interview conducted by Court TV with mph, the General Counsel of JXM Enterprises, Inc. and the D&B thread. Reporting from Atlanta, Greta van Intern:

Greta: Ms. h ....

mph: Call me Marie.

Greta: OK...Marie....it is often said that you are at the forefront of fighting for truth and justice.

mph: Am I being paid for this interview?

Greta: Ummm...no....here at Court TV we believe in journalistic integrity. We never pay our interview subjects.

mph: You're getting paid, so should I. Make it snappy!

Greta: OK....two questions. Number One. What is Truth?

mph: Truth is whatever the highest bidder for my services says it is. For example, my favorite client, the CEO of JXM, says that truth wears a short skirt and open cans of Pepsi on the hour to pour over his....well, to keep his important regions temperate. JXM pays me $500 per hour, $650 on nights and weekends. So when he says that is Truth, that is Truth, and I fight like hell for it.

Greta: I see. Very interesting, Marie.

mph: You sure you can't pay me for this interview?

Greta: Sorry, no can do. Second question. What in your view is Justice?

mph: A very important question. I once asked a mentor of mine in an LA law firm what Justice was. And he said to me, Justice is when you go into court with a scoundrel for a client and convince the court through sheer skill in advocacy and persuasion that the client is actually a close cousin of Mother Theresa deserving of total victory. Justice is good, and sweet, and generates large fees and client referrals. It smells distinctly like cash, and can be readily traded for jewelry and real estate. And so I learned at a young age, many years ago, Justice, like Truth, is relative.

Time's up!

Greta: Thank you for your time Marie.

mph: My pleasure. Those wishing to hire me may contact my assistant at 310-555-1234 for an appointment.
