Although I have a sincere hope for these two countries to unify and believe it will happen, I definitely got an eerie feeling looking across the river into NK. At the observation tower there is a photo of the 2 leaders of respective countries at their meeting of which the president of SK received the Nobel Peace prize. On display were items produced by the NK, such as clothing, food, technology, etc..They are not too far behind and actually have some foreign mfgrs plants established in NK. Samsung being one of them.
All in all, I knew I was looking at one of the last societies living like this and really believe the borders to open. Heck, I never thought I would see the Berlin wall come down in my life time and yet..

"Things are bound to change for the better, however."

Or the worst. South Korea is afraid the north could completely collapse at any time. How would you like to be responsible for a few million starving people first thing tomorrow morning?
